GAME PILL has been involved in fitness apps in the past and we are big believers in the potential for people to not only get in shape but also to accelerate their fitness goals in the case of athletes. -A survey conducted by the Pew Research Center found that 49% of adults who use fitness trackers say the devices have helped them to feel more motivated to be active and healthy. The survey also found that 52% of fitness tracker users say the devices have helped them to lose weight.
-A study conducted by Peloton found that members who used their stationary bikes at least twice a week for 10 weeks saw a 21% increase in their power output and a 25% increase in their total output. The study also found that members who used Peloton’s social features, such as participating in live classes or following friends, were more likely to stick with the program and see results.
-A study published in the Journal of Physical Activity and Health found that using Wii Fit for 30 minutes a day, five days a week, resulted in significant improvements in balance, flexibility, and overall fitness among older adults. The study found that Wii Fit can be an effective tool for improving fitness in older adults who may be less mobile or have limited access to traditional exercise equipment.
-A study published in the American Journal of Medicine found that Fitbit users who tracked their activity levels had a 20% lower risk of developing diabetes compared to those who did not track their activity. The study also found that Fitbit users who tracked their activity levels were more likely to engage in physical activity and make positive changes to their lifestyle.
